Description

The Watzmann belongs to the legendary Berchtesgaden Alps and is the main protagonist of the mystical legend surrounding these beautiful peaks. The cruel King Wazemann ruled over the land and one day turned himself and his family to stone. This was after he had trampled a farmer’s family with his steed and was immediately cursed by the farmer’s wife.

The highest peak is the Watzmann-middle peak (King) and together with its secondary peaks (Wife and kids) it attracts mountaineers from all over the world. Truly not for beginners or weak nerves, the Watzmann East Face has claimed more lives than the Eiger North Face.

The Watzmann is most beautiful anyway when gazed at from a distance or here on our aperitif platter made of beautiful oak wood. You use it to serve small delicacies at your next aperitif.

Diameter: approx. 25 cm

Please note: Its linseed oil coat accentuates the wood’s grain and protects against moisture. It may bend when wet. Let dry with the side down so it regains its original shape. To ensure a long useful life, rub it down with a drop of natural oil.

Important: This is a natural product. The wood’s grain, shape and lightness may vary greatly and differ from the product shown.
